Thanksgiving is right around the corner!
Whether you’re going to a large family gathering or the office needs some support over the holiday weekend, we’ve got you covered with things to be thankful for this year.
2023 was full of regulatory changes, industry innovation, and so much more. Here’s a round-up of what you can celebrate this year.
## A steady caregiver pipeline
From this year’s [HCP Benchmarking Study](https://www.homecarepulse.com/benchmarking/), we saw the caregiver turnover rate peak.
It’s easy to get bogged down by these figures, but for the caregivers who continue to show up to work day over day, year over year, it’s a testament to their resilience and passion for caring.
Be sure to send a message of gratitude and thanks caregivers you contract with before taking some time off for the holiday.
## Operational efficiencies
Does anyone remember the days of paper tracking? 🤚
In 2023, it’s necessary to use digital forms and applications for most processes. Although some of this innovation was forced for compliance reasons, it has moved us in the right direction.
From HIPAA to caregiver and client privacy, and simply for the ease of sending messages to and from caregivers, electronic communication and processes make life so much easier.
Let’s all take a collective moment to reflect on how much time we’ve saved through virtual meetings and communications.

I know one just came to your head.
Referral sources keep the home care world turning. When your digital marketing spend is up for the month, you can always rely on your referral sources to come through from a rehab, senior living community, local hospice, or another entity to send a name and number your way.

Although government (federal and state) regulations may pose a challenge to caregiver registries at one point in time or another, they are not insurmountable.
